 Rules:

1.     Safety Safety Safety

2.     Have Fun!

3.     White line will be marked at ~500 feet from approach end of runway in use.

4.     Contestants compete to perform one touch and go landing and one full stop landing nearest the designated landing spot on the runway.

5.     Power may be used as necessary to make the most accurate landing.

6.     Landing point is determined by highly qualified judges and is the point where the aircraft remains on the runway (bounces don’t count).

7.     The sum of the value of the two distances from the landing spot determines the score. 

8.     Strategy Hint à   A long and short landing will cancel each others distance.

9.     Competition period is between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM.

10. Trophies for First and Second place will be awarded at the end of the competition.

11.  Previous Winners will be handicapped 20% (judges rule).

 

Procedure

1.     Briefing at 11:45 AM

2.     Each contestant will takeoff from Pecan Plantation and announce on 123.05:

 

 “Spot Landing Departure Nxxx”

 

3.     Fly a left-hand pattern and announce on Final Leg:

 

 “Spot Landing Touch 'n Go Nxxx”

 

4.     Fly a second left-hand pattern and announce on Final Leg:

 

 “Spot Landing Full Stop Nxxx”

 

5.        Judging Stops at 1:00.  Show up for the awards at 1:15 PM.
